How blessed are the people of the Quran - اهل قران !!!

  • Their tongues are always busy with the words of the Quran

  • Their ears are always vibrated by the sound of the Quran

  • Their eyes are always moving with the verses of the Quran

  • Their hands are always in touch with the pages of the Quran

  • Their minds are always mesmerized by the wonders of the Quran

  • Their hearts are always inspired by the beauty of the Quran

  • Their bodies are always in action with the teachings of the Quran

  • Their time is always invested with the chapters of the Quran

  • Their houses are always alive with the recitation of the Quran

  • Their graves will be lit by the light of the Quran

  • Their guide to the straight path and their ticket to Jannah is the Quran

So what else would be needed for the People of the Quran, when their dedication has brought them to the ultimate win of this life & the next…..

May Allah make us all from the People of the Quran. Aameen.










People of the Quran are people of Allah: Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has His own people among humanity.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” The Prophet said, “They are the people of the Quran, the people of Allah and His chosen ones.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 215

What are some habits that a student of the Qur’an should implement?

You probably mean study habits, but more important is improving themselves as Muslims and making that a habit.  Pray tahajjud, fast extra fasts, and make sure you implement the aayaat of the Qur’an in your life and are a shining example of those of the Qur’an.

Stay away from sin, repent for all your sins and stop anything that is not suitable for “ahl al-Qur’an.” (the people of the Qur’an)

Do not waste time, it is a precious commodity for the student of the Qur’an, so use it wisely and use it for the sake of Allah. This is something I can’t say enough.  Many Muslims have lofty goals, but lose their precious time searching the Internet for different recordings of recitation from multiple shuyookh, looking up details of the qira’aat and other advanced details of tajweed when they themselves are relatively beginners or have not progressed far in their memorization.   Focus on the task at hand, and listen to one of the masters of tajweed such as Sheikh Al-Husary or Sheikh Abdullah Basfar.

﷽ We have often heard our elders say don't judge others, yet sadly we continue doing it - myself being guilty of it! A few weeks back someone shared a video and after watching it I thought as always I'll try not to judge others. Subhan Allah, humans as we are, we soon forget and repeat our mistakes over and over.  But Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim gave a whole new and deeper dimension to why we shouldn't shame others for their shortcomings. These words lingered with me in the back of my mind for a long time but Subhan Allah it really hit home for me a few days ago...
